6 Items You’ll Need to Keep Your Wedding Night Clean and Comfortable

Published on 18 May 2024 at 13:31

You’ve saved sex for marriage.

“Will it hurt?”

“Will I bleed?”

“What if I get blood on the hotel bed sheets?”

“Do I need supplies?”

These are awkward questions. And if you look online, you may find a few forums telling you to bring a towel. But not much else.

So…

Here are six items that will help you feel confident, clean and comfortable on your wedding night.

#1 - A Water-absorbent Bed Pad

Some women don’t bleed very much on their wedding night. But some bleed a lot, more than a heavy period.

The last thing you want is to leave the hotel bed looking like a crime scene.

Be prepared.

You’ll want a good sized, absorbent bed pad. This is included in the Bridal Bed Box.

#2 - All Natural Lubrication

Your first time can be uncomfortable.

Ideally, your body creates its own lubrication, but if you have trouble you can use a dollop of lubrication to minimize any unpleasant friction.

Natural is best. Artificial products can include harmful hormone changing chemicals.

Many women find coconut oil, which has antibacterial properties, to be ideal.

The Bridal Bed Box includes all-natural coconut oil-based lubrication with a hint of lavender.

#3 - A Peri Bottle

Peri bottles are often used for postpartum women to maintain cleanliness and avoid infection, but they can be helpful in this situation, too.

If there ends up being any tearing, it’s important to keep the wound clean with warm water, gently sprayed as often as needed.

A peri bottle is included in the Bridal Bed Box.

#4 - All Natural Soothing Spray

Tear or no tear, things can end up being sore for a few days.  Having some soothing spray on hand to apply after using the peri bottle can help with pain.

The Bridal Bed Box comes with All-Natural Soothing Spray with witch hazel and essential oils.

#5 - Pads

You may spot for a few days after, so it’s a good idea to bring some pads, or at least panty liners, with you.

You don’t want to throw away your best underwear, or spend your honeymoon spot cleaning.

The Bridal Bed Box comes with 2 large pads and 4 panty-liners, just in case.

#6 - A Garbage Bag

If you want to be as discreet as possible, bring your own garbage bag. You save and wash the used bed pad or discard it later.

You might not want to leave a mess, and the bed pad likely won’t fit in the small room trash can.

But on the other hand, you won’t want to put it directly in your bags.

A large plastic bag is included in the Bridal Bed Box.

Preparing all these items ahead of time can help make your night more clean and comfortable.

Bridal Bed Box has put all these items together and tied it with a pretty bow to save you from doing yet another thing on your wedding To-Do list.

Just bring the Bridal Bed Box with you, and don’t worry about your wedding night.
